Cantilever Cranes can lift loads in tight places. They have an extended range of motion, so they have the capability to lift loads outside of a normal bridge crane's capabilities. Unlike a normal bridge crane, the cantilever crane has an extra trolley. This trolley allows for the hook to travel outside of the bridge. After the load is lifted outside of the bridge, the trolley can travel back inside. They do this so the crane can avoid obstacles or incoming columns.
